IBEW Local 223’s Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee is the premier electrical apprenticeship program serving Southeastern Massachusetts, including the Cape, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. Our four-year curriculum enrolls over 150 apprentices and enjoys a robust, collaborative partnership between labor and management. Anchored in a region celebrated as the birthplace of the U.S. offshore wind movement, we combine New England’s maritime heritage with cutting-edge training in renewable energy and emerging electrical technologies.Position OverviewThe Assistant Director works alongside the Training Director to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of both the apprenticeship program and journey-level continuing education. This role demands strong organizational skills, technical savvy, and a commitment to mentorship.
